<p>This is a ongoing project. Goal is to use the Playstation VR headmount with an adapter to mount the Oculus Quest.</p> <p>Feel free to add to this project. Next steps needed.</p> <ul> <li>create a nice cover around</li> <li>add a counter weight on the back of the PSVR Headmount for reblanace. Maybe a powerbank holder ?</li> </ul> <p>No warranty or anything, you do anything at your own risk !!!!!</p> <h3>Print Settings</h3> <p><strong>Printer Brand:</strong></p> <p>Ultimaker</p> <p><strong>Printer:</strong></p> <p>Ultimaker 2</p> <p><strong>Rafts:</strong></p> <p>No</p> <p><strong>Supports:</strong></p> <p>Yes</p> <p><strong>Resolution:</strong></p> <p>0.2</p> <p><strong>Infill:</strong></p> <p>18%</p> <h3>Post-Printing</h3> <p><strong>Material needed to complete the Adapter</strong></p> <p>You need following additional Material to assembly the addapter</p> <ul> <li>1 x ø2,5mm nail</li> <li>1 x 18mmx2,5mm O-Ring or some other rubber ring/band</li> </ul> <p><strong>Parts needed from the original PSVR</strong></p> <p>Also you need following Parts from the original PSVR</p> <ul> <li>the mount plate</li> <li>4 tiny silver screws</li> <li>1 tiny black screw</li> </ul> <p><strong>Assembly Step 1</strong></p> <ul> <li>cut the nail to get a 18mm long bolt</li> <li>assemble the bolt with the lock mechanic</li> </ul> <p><strong>Assembly Step 2</strong></p> <ul> <li>insert the lock mechanic into the adapter</li> <li>place the mount plate ontop of the adapter</li> <li>use the 4 screws to fix the mount plate on the adapter</li> </ul> <p><strong>Assembly Step 3</strong></p> <ul> <li>attach the o-ring or rubber ring to the adapter</li> <li>pull the o-ring over the lock mechanic</li> </ul> <p><strong>Assembly Step 4</strong></p> <ul> <li>snap in the adapter to the Oculus Quest Top Headstrap Mountpoint</li> <li>turn the adaptor around and make sure the tissue is not squeezed</li> <li>turn the Qoculus Quest around and gently push the adapter until it snaps in</li> </ul> <p><strong>Assembly Step 5</strong></p> <ul> <li>attach the adapter to the PSVR Headmount</li> <li>make sure the locking mechanic work properly</li> </ul> <p><strong>Assembly Step 6</strong></p> <ul> <li>use the small black screw to install an end point stop that the oculus can not release completely from the adapter.</li> <li>it is not needed to tighten the screw, just that it stops the quest from complete release</li> </ul> <p><strong>Additional information - Howto remove the original Oculus Quest Headstrap</strong></p> <ul> <li>loose the velcro</li> <li>pull it back as much as possible</li> <li>use a small screw driver or similar to slightly lift the cover</li> <li>while lifting the cover pull further back the headstrap</li> </ul> <p>This is nondestructive, you can assembly the headstrap again reversing the steps.</p> Category: Toy & Game Accessories
