Oculus Quest Flight Joystick

This is a knee mounted joystick adapter to be used with tigerflip's Quest grips linked below. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4248105/makes It fits my Quest 2 controller great - Easy slip on and off. A magnet holds the controller grip to the knee mount for a smooth ball in socket motion, while allowing for quick removal. If your game requires other actions with the right hand (VTOL VR), you may consider adding a strap to the knee mount to quickly unstick the magnet. If you enjoy this print, please consider sending tigerflip and I a tip :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9BHAYnsNhMg In addition to the printed knee mount and adapter length of your choice, this setup requires... -1X 1" 10-32 Steel threaded ball https://www.mcmaster.com/6045K34/ -1X 1/2" x .125 thick neodymium magnet (double check size - link was incorrect) https://www.mcmaster.com/5862K105/ -1X #10-32x1/2" Button Head Socket head screw https://www.fastenal.com/product?query=24040&fsi=1 Directions - Print the Knee Mount. Depending on your leg size, you may need to pad this if skinnier than me, or maybe heat and expand it if you are bigger than me. - Print an adapter length of your choice (see recommendations below these directions) - Insert magnet into adapter. Use blob of hot glue to keep in place - Glue adapter to tigerflip's controller grip (note orientation!) - Screw steel ball into knee mount - You're done! Enjoy a MUCH better flight sim experience! Adapter info - Medium - Tested - Arm at slight angle with elbow rested on thigh. Short - Designed to get arm at even lower angle than medium size (my preferred) Long - Untested. Good if you like a long-throw control stick. Arm will be at more of an angle if you rest elbow on thigh.
