Oculus Quest Front Head Strap Attachment (Stock & DAS)

Update 5/28: I have removed all of the old revisions and uploaded the latest versions. The stock strap attachment now has 3 sizes from short to the same length as the DAS model. It is really just personal preference depending how large you want it. It would probably be best to use at least the medium one if you are already using almost the whole top strap at the stock location. The small one is only a few mm longer than the old revision. I have also included a variant for all of them to include the Oculus text logo on the front which is covered by the attachment. -------------------- Update 1/21: I added a version 3 to the download list. The list of changes are below. The clip design now goes across the entire clip and the teeth are slightly longer. This gives it a much stronger grip to the front of the Quest. I added a small arrow to the bottom of the clip that can be easily lined up with the seam so when it is clipped on it will align with the front LED. For the DAS version I have increased the amount of space for the strap again. The length of the mount was also greatly increased to allow you to use without having to put a extension on the top strap. -------------------- Update 1/7 #2: I just got everything together on the DAS version and the strap is not long enough so currently requires an extension. I will try to figure out an appropriate length to use without a extension. Update 1/7: I just tested the DAS mount and realized the end of the strap does not fit if the rod is already inserted so I have updated the mounts with more clearance and should now fit the end of the strap. I will add an image once I have one printed. -------------------- This will relocate the top strap from the back of the Quest to the front. This will take the pressure from the weight of the Quest off of your cheeks without needing to use a counter weight attached to the rear of the Quest strap. This is similar to how the original Vive attached their strap before the weight reduction of the Vive Pro. I included four models. The thinner one is for the stock head strap and the wider one is the the DAS (Vive Deluxe Audio Strap). I have not personally printed the DAS model as of this release. I also included two taller versions of each which I have not tested out yet. I am testing to see if higher equals more relief. If it does not I will be removing them from this thing. I have it currently marked as a work in progress because I am still testing it out to see if I need any other revisions. I want to try and relocate the Oculus Link or other cables to the top of the strap using this clip. Print the mount on its side with supports. I used 60% infill and on a raft. Print the rod on its side and make sure to set the horizontal expansion to -0.20 or a value that works for you as the rod is the exact dimensions of the hole. You will want a raft for this as it has very little contact. You want a tight fit into the mount but if it is loose you can use super glue to secure the rod or decrease the horizontal expansion to print again. I used 99% infill. Everything should load in the orientation they are to be printed in.
