Oculus Rift breakout box

Oculus Rift breakout box

I have an Oculus Rift and I really don't like demoing it to friends whilst worrying if they are going to yank on the cable and pull my PC off the desk, so I threw together a 3d printed housing which combined with some good quality 1m cables works well as a breakout box. I've attached the box to my desk either with strong velcro, so should the cable get a tug it should pull the connectors out of the box rather than the PC off the desk. The build works well enough that you can thread the cables in through the front and then just clip the back into place, you could use glue if you really wanted but it shouldn't be needed. The box was made specifically for the 2 cables below but could be made to work with most USB & HDMI cables. USB 3.0: www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00C7S1B4W/ HDMI: www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004VR9VXK/ Print Settings Printer: KlicknPrint3D Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.3 Infill: 15 - 25% works fine Notes: You should be fine to build with most res and infill settings, I've done 0.3@15% and 0.3@25% and both worked fine.
