This water heater and BBQ / grill is perfect for a large scout camp or group of people in a fixed campsite.The heater works by displacing warm water with cold water. Cold water is added and at the same time hot water is released from the other side of the drum so there is always hot/warm water available.The cold water when added sinks to the bottom of the barrel and the hot water is always found at the top of the barrel.The unit can also be used to BBQ food etc.I used other modellers models as well as my own to do this model Barrel " Gold.D.Ruler"Copper elbow "Jess"Tap "Popov Stanislav"Use this water heating system with adult supervision and never leave a burning fire unattended.Always clean the barrel properly If you are going to cut or weld the barrel as well as making certain there are no no oils/chemical or other residues left in the hot water.The unit uses fire to heat the water and water temperatures can easily reach boiling point so care must be taken when filling the barrel and collecting hot water. All parts "barrel, tap, chimney , grill and barrel support can be over 100 deg c so there is a risk of burns and scalding if used incorrectly or in the vicinity of the parts. Fill the barrel carefully and always fill the barrel when the unit is cool and keep the barrel filled when in use.
