Old Puzzle Box
thingiverse
A 3D printable puzzle box requires five actions to open and consists of ten parts. It was designed based on a wooden version, utilizing the same components as the original, whose origins are unknown but claimed to date back to 1772. Some of the original parts were missing or damaged, but my model closely replicates the original design. The "Fix pin" and "Fix plate" were added during a later repair in the 1950s due to the box's cracking. Print Settings Printer: Wanhao Duplicator 4x Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 10% Notes: Some pieces require rotation for optimal printing results. Due to limited print area, I have only test-printed the box at 60% of its intended size. Tolerances between moving parts are satisfactory, but might be improved at full scale. The printed pins are prone to breakage and can be challenging to size correctly; consider replacing them with an M4 (for 60% prints) or M8 (for 100% prints) bolt for added durability.
