Old School Motel Key Fob

Old School Motel Key Fob

thingiverse

An old school hotel/motel key fob modeled after the ones used by chain and independent motels across the US in the 50's, 60's, 70's, etc. These fobs were often stamped with the room number, motel logo & address, and a message that postage would be paid if dropped in any US mail box. STL files for one and two sided versions are available as well as the OpenSCAD code used to create them. Fob dimensions are parameterized in the code, so the fob could be customized (though I did not design it for the customizer and have not added any parameter validation code). Print Settings Printer: FlashForge Finder Infill: 25 to 100% Notes: I print the one-sided version flat and the two-sided on end with manually added tree-like supports to steady it. I figure that the ring and keys will rough up the end with the hole, so I put that end down when printing the two-sided version because then any support marks won't matter. An infill of 100% is recommended if the filament is not completely opaque.
