Got tired of gluing the knob back on, so I took a closer look to see that the exterior rubber comes off if you just cut 4 pieces off that are molded through it. Pull the inner edge on the under side back and use flush cutters to get a clean cut. You can pry the retaining tabs back from the metal cap to remove it too. Then designed this to accept the old metal cap and rubber grip. Edit: Had to adjust the inner diameter to go over the knob housing.
