Olympus E-M10 MK1 Grip

Olympus E-M10 MK1 Grip

Wanted a grip for my E-M10, but didn't like the metal ones on Ebay as they're too cold/heavy/not big enough, so I created my own. This is for the MK1 version of the Olympus E-M10 and I'm pretty sure it won't fit on any of the later versions. I printed the one in the pics at .2mm layer height which I think looks pretty good. .1mm is certainly a bit smoother, but I didn't want to wait for it to print. :) I did not sand the unit before staining, but the Hatchbox wood-filled PLA does take pretty well to sanding. I tried sanding one and it did look nicer and take the stain better, but it took most of my life to sand. I stained the one in the pics with some MinWax PolyShades "Bombay Mahogany" stain/poly. And then put another coat of "Pecan" MinWax Polyshades over that because the Bombay color smelled so strong even after a week of sitting! I used a little tripod mount screw from Amazon to affix the grip to the camera. PS. I think the STL file might come in upside down. Just rotate it until it lays flat on its base.
