One leg Table Brace

A remix of the excellent Easy Table Braces by berky93 -- I put together a long desk with two Ikea Linnmon table tops and some hairpin legs but I didn't want a leg in the front center so I put a standard square table leg from home depot (1.65 x 1.65 x 28 in) on the back middle but where they joined in the front was too wobbly. Modified this so that the top bracket only has one side and has 4 drill holes so I could secure it into both table tops, then modified the leg bracket so that it also has drill holes since I wasn't confident in the zip ties the original uses. I used 8x wood screws, they look like #8 x 1/2 inch but were in an unlabeled baggy I had laying around, anything similar should work well. Also used 13 inch long 1/2 inch pvc -- It should support the far side better if you go a bit longer but you want to make sure it's not so long that it gets in the way -- I would've gone a bit longer, maybe 15 inches, but I happened to have a piece cut to that length already. Assembly: I zip tied the leg support to the leg for a temporary hold then put the pvc pipe in (I didn't glue it) and put the surface support on the other end of the pipe and adjusted the positioning of everything so the surface support was flush with the two table tops and the gap where they joined ran down the middle. I drilled pilot holes through the 4 holes in the surface support into the linnmon table tops, then drove in the screws. I took off one of the zip ties and drilled two pilot holes through the screw holes it was covering into the table leg and then drove two screws in. I removed the second zip tie and repeated the process (note that you may have trouble getting at the top holes if you have the PVC in and a large drill I would mark the holes and then drill the pilot holes with the parts removed, then just put everything back and drive the screw in)
