Custom Section How to use the gear designer The onshape gear designer uses OnShape variables to allow you to define the properties of the required gear. Simply update the required variables and your gear will be generated ready to be exported as an STL file and printed. *Variables The following variables can be modified. #M - the gears modulus#PD#GearThickness - controls the thickness of the gear in millimetres. The remaining variables are calculated from the above three variables.#NumTeeth - the number of teeth on the gear.#RD#OD - Outside Diameter of the gear.#ToothWidth#ToothFillet
