Ooze Twist Slim Pen

I use my vape pen for a sleep aid more than anything else. Until a few weeks ago, I had only the Dragon CBD Twist Vape Pen. I like that pen as with my limited use I get several weeks of service on a single charge. Unfortunately, there is no gauge telling you when it's out of charge so the only way to know it's dead is to use it and have it fail to heat. That's exactly what happened to me a few weeks ago. I went up to a dispensary nearby hoping to purchase another Dragon pen, but the closest thing they had was the significantly smaller "Ooze Twist Slim Pen". I wanted the Dragon pen because I've already made a model for effective storage of the pen. I took the Ooze pen because it's what they had, it had the 510 threads for the cartridges I use, and it was dirt cheap to boot. When I got home I plugged it in to charge and there was no indication that it was charging, while according to the documentation, there should have been an LED lit on both the attached charger and the pen itself. I went to remove the pen from the charger and noticed the cap connecting the 510 threaded end to the body of the pen was loose and turning as I tried to spin off the charger which came pre-attached. Meanwhile, clicking the button 5 times in quick succession did appear to turn the pen on, yet the cartridge I carefully connected to the threads while gripping the cap would not heat. I carefully pulled the cap out and found both wires were broken from the end and twisted about 20 times. I replaced the damaged wires and after verifying I could measure voltage between the center electrode and the outer portion of the cap, decided to super glue the thing together to prevent future damage. While the design is nearly identical to that of the Dragon, the Ooze pen is so poorly constructed it was damaged during its original assembly. Additionally, it boasts a 320 MAH battery, to which I call "bull$hit" due to it's tiny size, lack of any weight, and the fact that I can only get 5 or 6 hits from a full charge before it fails to heat and flashes to indicate it needs recharging. Do NOT buy this pen, it's junk. My purpose in purchasing this pen was to have a hot spare for when my good pen needs a charge and I'm in a hurry to get to bed. For that purpose, I suppose it's good enough, but I would never recommend this piece of junk for normal use. In any case, if you already have this pen, I made this holder for it. It's quite similar to the one I made for the dragon. I had recently added a provision to the holder I made for the dragon to accommodate storage for two cartridges other than the one connected to the pen, and since the pen holder portion of this Ooze pen is so much smaller, and I wanted the base to be the same size as the Dragon holder, I added provisions for another two cartridges. If you're using a pen that's similar to this and want clarification as to whether or not this model will fit your pen, the body of the Ooze pen has an outer body diameter of 11.25 mm. The Dragon pen's body measured 14.1 mm. This model will fit a pen with a diameter less than 12 mm.
