After making the most excellent Open Sim Shifter H (with upgrades) by CET3D I then created a button box that fits under the shifter knob. To make it easier to work with I made the wiring harness fairly long to have room to fit everything together. This created a problem for me as my wires using the generic joystick USB device made it very tight for space at the bottom of the shifter. So I created a spacer for the shifter which allows extra space for excess wiring. Although I designed it with four mount holes I only use two of them as the other two are used to mount the original base to the internal mechanism. Once my base extension is mounted all four holes are used and the original base is fixed as strongly as it was without the extension. The desk/simpit mount holes have spacers to keep the bolt from crushing the extension, etc. Thank you again CET3D for sharing this amazing design and incredible support with instructions, videos, material lists, etc. Note: I designed the extension to be 16mm tall with 13 mm inside for wires. I printed mine at 10mm for a couple of reasons. 1. I did not really need the entire 16mm height. 2. My Ultrabase Anycube heat bed died part way through the print :D
