For the OpenZ Project I've knocked up a couple of Spur gears, a 42t which matches a 10t pinion and has a 22mm OD, and a 40t which matches a 12t pinion and has a 20mm OD., I've printed them in ABS which look to be fairly tough. Nylon and PETG are probably also good choices. They are 3mm thick and with a 3mm hole. I found best results with just a fraction of underextrution by setting flow to 95% and disabling thin lines. Ive added a 43t which is a tight mesh with the 9t pinion. but it all probably depends on printer settings and such to get the best possible mesh with such a fine tooth as Mod 0.5.
