OpenSCAD Geared Nema 17 Extruder Block

OpenSCAD Geared Nema 17 Extruder Block

thingiverse

To print Wade's extruder block on a MakerBot, it was necessary to downscale parts using OpenSCAD. Inspired by someone who patched the original STL for a BfB hot end, recreating the entire part seemed more suitable for this task. The provided SCAD file offers the reduced version, but uncommenting certain lines allows access to the original size. Position the STL to avoid the back 3mm of the MakerBot build platform and protrude over the front by a couple of mm due to a Y idler pulley constraint. Printing requires drilling through thin disks where the main m8 bolt passes, facilitating gap closing printability.
