The original toolpath generators' rafts are considered inefficient in material usage and challenging to remove by some users. cptnAWESOME discovered that adding raft-like elements to .stl files before passing them to the generator is simpler, as seen in http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:16596. This script automates this process uniformly, allowing designers to distribute files in a technology- and machine-independent format. Users can then apply any necessary preprocessing steps for optimal print characteristics on their machines. To use the tool, ensure your .stl's base intersects the xy plane (lower by 0.1mm if needed). Replace "example.stl" with its absolute path. Compile, render, and export as .stl (may take minutes). Lastly, print, detach the print anchor from the printed part, and remove it.
