Adobe Illustrator script that generates OpenScad source to create stamps. I need to label all my sons clothes for his kindergarten. Including socks!! Using stick on labels was not an option as it would most likely cause discomfort. So I had to find a better way: stamps! Inspired by an article in makezine.com that shows how to create stamps with openscad I converted this script, which is a modified version of this script I used fabric paint which is fixed using heat after drying, but any other paint would work for other materials. Simple "airy" letters work best! Note: Tested only under OSX with AI CS 2015. Script added to "/Applications/Adobe Illustrator CC 2015/Presets.localized/en_US/Scripts" ['en_US' can be different under other localisation] (Files "sample.stl" and "sound.stl" can be ignored) Update 27/08/2016: removed generation options from Adobe and now those are only available under the source OpenSCAD. Default values will be used and the user will have to change them manually. This allows to more flexibility. added border and round base, both configurable in the OpenSCAD source. Set border to 0 or negative to remove it, set round_base = false to get a rectangular base. Round base works best for very short words - even better for chinese characters. added checkbox to allow automatic opening of the generated file in OpenSCAD
