Opinel No.5 Blade Lock

This is a lock ring for the Opinel No. 5. At barely over 15 grams, the No. 5 is an ideal knife for ultralight backpacking. It's plenty sharp enough for the most common tasks (cutting cheese), holds an edge well, is inexpensive, and is ridiculously light. However, you don't get a lock until you size up to the No. 6 and that's simply more knife than is ever really needed. This lock will add just a gram and works like a charm! There are similar things out there, but scaling doesn't really work well here. This lock was designed from scratch specifically for the No. 5.
