I have a few optical drives that are longer than most - this case came in handy. The remix is splitting the case into top and bottom - for more reliable printing on an Ender 3 pro. I got the full height to print fine, too (with a raft) but it was on the edge of keeping accurate. The back is modified to accept a Vantec CB-ST00U3 SATA to USB adapter - similar to this from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07452Z3KH?ref=ppx_pt2_dt_b_prod_image No supports required. I'm using Hatchbox PLA and didn't need to adjust the width of the original design - everything fit really well.
