This is a kinematic optical platform mount designed to fit onto a regular optical breadboard using 1/4-20 mounting holes (or metric). It uses a mounting arm (PM1 style, see separate PM1 file ) to hold a square optical component against the lower platform. It uses 6-32 screws with knobs to control the movement of the platform left-right and pivot up-down. Mounting screw is 6-32 and can mount onto a steel 1/2 inch post with a 6-32 thread, or a 3D printed post (see separate file). The component requires a number of metal parts: Parts: 2 6-32 x 3/8" internally threaded standoffs 4 6-32 nuts 1 6-32 x 1/4" screw 2 6-32 x 1/2" screws (platform mount) 2 6-32 x 1.5" screws 1 6-32 x 3/4" screw (ball mount) 2 1/2" springs with hook ends 4 7/16" x 1/16" aluminum pins Instructions The 6-32 x 1.5" screws are secured to the knows by a 6-32 nut that is drawn into the hole in the knob. The standoffs fit into hexagonal holes in the outer arm. The inner arm is connected to the platform by 2 6-32 x 1/2" screws. The ball mount crew (6-32 x 3/4") passes through the corner of the inner arm and has a nut on either side. It's head fits into the ball joint on the outer arm. The threads of the screw knobs push on the ends of two screws, one used to mount the platform to the inner arm, and the other being the 6-32 x 1/4" screw at the top of the outer arm. The two springs are secured by pins and press the outer arm against the inner arm.
