optimized 3DJP's Filament Runout Sensor
thingiverse
First I printed the remix from JWS and saw that the filament doesn't even touch the ball bearing 99% of the time. Than i thought I that it can be much smaller without the ball bearing part. While changing that i did some other modifications. Like bringing the mounting holes more towards the case it self, making the extra material smaller or removing some of it. Made the holes a bit bigger to put PTFE tubes in it. Top and bottom are big enough but I only put one to the top, where most of the friction will be. Also made a lid with a ball bearing on it, which it doesn't need anymore ^^ All in all it prints faster and easier, its smaller, you can fit PTFE tubing on both sides and has it a lid.
