Project Statement: Optimus Desk can organize and separate paper for seven classes. In addition, this desk organizer is equipped with two large hexagon-shaped holders to keep all pens, pencils, erasers and led in one place. There will also be twelve smaller, individual hexagon holders to have colored pencils or markers more neatly and individually separated. A laptop mount is also incorporated into this design so that students can mount their laptop and have more workspace. With this design, students will be able to keep all their school materials and assignments in one place, having easy access to them at all times. 1. Some issues I came up against while designing Optimus Desk was the sizing of the organizer and incorporating the laptop mount. I always had some issues with properly spacing the hexagon holders. 2. If I could redesign this again, I would change the paper divider in my design so that it could organize more papers from different classes. Although my divider has six different slots, I would have liked for it to be able to have seven or eight. 3. 3D printing can strengthen my design because it allows me to make any necessary changes or modifications if there are any flaws or improvements that can be made in the design.
