Orange Pi Lite - Case

Orange Pi Lite - Case

thingiverse

A case for Orange Pi Lite, I use it for OctoPrint. It has a hole at the top that is tight enough to hold the antenna in place. It is a tight fit, no need for screws. And as you can see from the images the camera interface, GPIO pins, IR receiver and reset button are not usable. You might want to add four legs at the bottom to allow air to flow in, if you do a lot of RAM access, at least for OctoPrint this is not necessary. Print Settings Printer: Qidi Avatar IV Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm layer height Infill: No Notes: Prints fine with ABS. If you need additional support add a 2..5 mm wide and 0.2 mm height border around the two case parts, and rotate the object by 45° for faster printing (as I've done in the lua script). How I Designed This I took the caliper and measured the Orange Pi Lite board including connectors and antenna. From these measurements I created a first model of the Orange Pi Lite. Then I created the case, with base and top, using the first model as negative form. To allow for some inaccuracy for measurements and printing I created, based on the first model, a second model of the Orange Pi Lite with slightly larger connectors. And finally I used this second model as negative form to create base and top. It's created in IceSL, you can download the application here https://members.loria.fr/Sylvain.Lefebvre/icesl/ or just use it online at http://shapeforge.loria.fr/icesl-online/ . I created g-code with slic3r and IceSL, both print well (You might want to rotate the top part 180° to print it).
