Orca Series linear bearing lm8uu x-carriage

Finally! There it is, a linear bearing x-carriage for the Orca 0.3 (and possibly also 0.2, please report if you used it succesfully on your 0.2). I wanted to create the most simple solution to fix the x-carriage problems on the orca 0.3. On my printer the x-carriage does not fit too optimal. Also, the x-carriage is hard and time consuming to assemble. Furthermore it doesn't even fit, because it hits the metal on both bottom sides. This new re-designed x-carriage only consists of one plastic item. The lm8uu bearings will snugly fit in the holders and on the smooth rods. And last but not least, you can easily fit the x-belt in the holder. I did 2 tries now to print the carriage, but both times I had some problems with my printer. I will try to print again tomorrow. Keep yourself posted on my profiles and thingies on thingiverse. As soon as this bearing is finished I will start working on a y-axis linear bearing and also an z-axis linear bearing! BTW I bought the cheapest linear bearings from ebay:http://www.ebay.com/itm/290626116456 Instructions Update version 5: made the LM8UU holders a bit longer reinforced the belt clamp by 3mm Update version 4: belt holder a bit higher (belts fit perfectly without screws) LM8UU holder made just a bit wider holes for the smoothed rods made a bit larger removed the holes for the middle 2 bolts (not needed) made some space for the back bolts so they can be attached some reinforcement added for the connecting bars Print the x-carriage with your best profile Snugly fit 4 lm8uu bearings inside the holders Disassemble your original x-carriage Attach the new x-carriage to the metal platform (make sure the belt holder is on the right side) tighten all 4 screws. Optionally including the fan holder on top. Attach the motor back on top
