Orion Blasters Lynx Slim, Super, Ultra, and Ultimate Slim Mag Catches

<p>The Orion Blaster's Lynx is one of my absolute favorite blasters, and I love almost everything about it. Almost. The stock magazine catch is a huge pain in my opinion. It's massive size and sensitive catch spring makes it very susceptible to getting caught on gear, like the 6094 plate carrier i wear, and dropping the magazine. Thus, i did a simple cut job on the stock mag catch, and I offer four options for those who feel the same that I do.</p> <p>The first has two simple angled cuts on the front of the paddle, thus reducing the likelihood of gear catching the exposed edge of the stock catch. The second is significantly more skeletonized, reducing the front and side material on the catch dramatically, further reducing the likelihood of inducing an unintentional mag release. It is, however, going to be naturally more likely to break due to the reduced support material in the design.</p> <p>The third and fourth sacrifice the ability to use the thumb release bar, but in exchange, offer even more surface area reduction. The Ultra Slim still has a bit of a rounded nub to it, while the Ultimate Slim is cut down as far as possible while still retaining basic structural integrity.</p> <p>The Slim and Super Slim designs are still fully compatible with the thumb release extension, while the Ultra Slim and Ultimate Slim are not. What would additionally help reduce unintentional mag drops is beefing up the mag catch spring, to require more force to drop mags.</p> <p>These could be altered in the future, but it is directly cut away from the already existing mag release design, and only the paddle surface has been altered, so it'll fit no problem. Use the Super Slim version at your own risk; it's durability has not been confirmed. But it's a small and easy to replace piece, so, it shouldn't be the end of the world if it does break.</p> <p>This file is published under a CC- Share-Alike, Non-Commercial license, as required by the original Lynx files upon which these files were modified from.
