This a bit niche, my RC 8 came with both a vixen and losmandy rails, I don't use the vixen so removed it saving some weight from the scope, the scope was very difficult to balance, especially with the finder scope shoe being off axis, so I decided to add a finder scope shoe to the top of the scope using the holes left by the vixen rail mounts. This adaptor allows me to mount my guide scope and camera to the front of the scope on the axis, balance is now not a problem.
