The RepRap Ormerod printer consists of 3 components that need to be aligned on either side of the Y-Axis rods. Failure to align them correctly can result in a twisted metal rod, causing the bed to appear warped. To avoid this issue, a simple tool is available to assist with proper alignment. Here's how it works: First, print two identical tools. Next, place your printer on a stable flat surface. Ensure that the pieces clip onto the rods from underneath. Loosen the two large screws into the aluminum extrusion and the small screw into the T-nut on the Y210 side of the extrusion (far side). Depending on the extent of the twist, you may need to repeat this process on the other side as well. Now, gently twist the frame until the tool feet sit perfectly flat on the surface beneath the printer. Finally, carefully re-tighten the screws while ensuring that the twist doesn't return.
