I found that adjusting the fixed lens focus with the stock slider on my LM2 to be a bit imprecise and annoying, so I decided to invest in this Ortur CNC Z-axis Lifting Device, sadly i quickly realised that it doesn't fit the LM2 at all! Like not even close. So i created these plates to make everything fit together. Result is super fine focusable adjustment with a new work area of: - Highest focusable height of work with the lens pushed in, 75mm from table (before collision with X carriage) - Lowest focusable height of work with the lens pulled out, 8mm from table (need to lift your part so the top surface is 8mm from the table) - Lowest focusable height of work with the lens pushed in, 15mm from table (need to lift your part so the top surface is 15mm from the table) It is to note that the new plates and the thickness of the device means you lose about 20mm in X and Y. On the upside, this extra 20mm in X means that there is a lot of clearance for an air assist. Also, it is now possible to remove the laser and the lifting device without taking the X carriage apart, which is a really big bonus. FYI: I used M3 threaded inserts (3.5 x 4mm), that i heat press in.
