Otoscope

This design is a remix of a design published on Appropedia. We started out with their original design, with the intent of supplying 3D printed otoscopes to health posts in Nepal as part of the earthquake response. After gaining user feedback from a range of medical practitioners in the UK and Nepal, we have arrived at this design. For more information on assembly and the electronics, please visit the Wevolver page. Speculas are intended as disposable items. Please discard after use. Thanks to Humanitarian Maker Ram Chandra for this design. Print Settings Printer: UP Printers Resolution: less than or equal to 0.2mm Infill: 20-30% Notes: -For the specula, it is better to use a dark coloured filament (preferably black). -There are two specula with narrow opening and wider opening. Meant to be for children and Adult. -There are two Lens_assy for different lens thickness. Use accordingly. If printing only speculas, be careful of print errors near the tip of the specula. If printing a single specula, the narrow circular geometry of the tip means that the print head moves very fast without pausing, and this can mean that the layers do not cool properly before the next layer is printed. This can lead to a 'melted' effect. To prevent this happening, it is recommended to print a minimum of 3 speculas simultaneously, or to print 2 speculas with one of them in an inverted orientation. Support: It should work fine with support angle less than 10 degree with the suggested orientation of Print. Orientation: as in STL files
