I saw a number of tool organizers available for download but I wanted both something specific for the tools I like to have around, as well as something modular that I can change later. All the pieces snap together and glue is not needed with the exception of the drawer, which is held together by a screw going through the drawer, front and knob.

Several files are duplicates (left base rail, right base rail etc.). I included both so you know to simply print everything to create the box shown. The exception to this are the sleeves where the file description indicates how many to print. All the .stl files are included to create the exact box shown in the pictures. A MMU is not required - for the SD Card and Prusa badges put a color change at 2mm in the slice.

If you would like a different top configuration, I included the Fusion 360 design files both for the top as well as the sleeves. If you go into the user parameters of each file, you can modify the dimensions of the sleeves to fit your liking. In the TOOL SLEEVE TEMPLATE fusion file, by entering the final inside sleeve dimensions, it creates both the sleeve, it's bottom cap, as well as calculate the dimensions of the hole needed in the top.

I plan on releasing .stl files for different wall sizes and configurations so you can create any box size you want using the current templates. This box was printed with my Prusa Mk3S printer which has a 250mm x 200mm printing bed. I know many have smaller ones (200x200, or 150x150) so the additional wall sizes will be designed to accomodate these smaller bed sizes. I will post these under "OttoBox" so they are also easy to search for. This current box needs a bed of at least 250x200.

I am both new to 3D printing as well as Fusion 360 and this was my first major project and has been quite the learning curve. It was a lot of fun and took my mind off all the COVID quarantining. If you have any suggestions please let me know.

Also, you will find some of the tolerances rather tight, so you may need to clean up your print in order to fit. I also recommend a lubricant when assembling (I used a quick dab of wd40 on the tight parts) Thank you and enjoy!

Print instructions

I used 20% infill and I do not have the MMU addon to my printer. The SD Card and Prusa badge are in two colors by doing a color change at 2mm. Make sure you print them face down so the texture from the steel plate is consistent throughout. Supports are not necessary.
