Outdoor Ice Rink Support Bracket

Outdoor Ice Rink Support Bracket

Update: after season 1 I plan to slightly increase the thickness of the bottom layer, and make the support triangle a little taller. These worked well and I had no issues, but I think if the bottom was stiffer and the triangle slightly larger it would handle warped 2 x 10s better. I have a few that are twisting and these weren't strong enough to quite hold them vertical. 2 of the 10 also cracked along the bottom plate. I'd say the first go at it was moderately successful. I plan to upload the redesigned version before Fall. I'm building an outdoor rink in my yard for my kids and designed these to allow us to stand the 2x10s up in place. I've printed 4 of them so far, but have not used them. The holes are there to use less plastic, and also accommodate a piece of rebar. I have a very flat yard, and my rink is 20' x 20'. My plan is to flood in 1/2" to 1" layers so these don't need to support a lot of weight. Really they are there to help me layout the boards. I'll post some pictures when I actually set up the rink. Just wanted to post this here on the off chance someone needs them. I added the extra material to one side both to strengthen the final product, and to give more surface layer against the build plate to aid with adhesion.
