Over-Engineered Mint Dispenser

Over-Engineered Mint Dispenser

My Dad made a design request for an Altoids mint container that does not rattle in his computer bag or pocket. The design I came up with is based on the twist erasers that can be found on certain mechanical pencils. Initial prototypes of the mechanism were promising and functioned quite smoothly. I recommend using this mechanism as it works quite well if you get the tolerances correct. Twisting the bottom raises and lowers the mints and the cap at the top locks in either an open or closed position. Altoids or Ice Breaker mints can be loaded from the front port, but the cap is removable so that mints can be more easily refilled from the top. It took a handful of prototypes to get the tolerances just right, and I believe there is some more tweaking that could be done. If your print's fitment is too tight or too loose, please add a comment with respect to which part of the mechanism is not fitting correctly. I will try and post fixes based on your input. Leave a like and post your prints!
