Overhead desk studio stand

Overhead desk studio stand

I needed an overhead stand to shot instagram videos from above my desk (a homemade desk made of 28mm kitchen panel FYI). So I designed a few parts to fit the material I had around : a 20mm broomstick and a 10x10mm (square) extruded aluminum tube. It's very simple : the extruded tube is for the sides, and the broomstick stands for the cross-bar, linked with the printed parts. The desk clamps can be screwed into the 28mm panel (but they just fit like that, for now. I'll design something more universal later). A wood screw holds the broomstick in place through the upper part (I also made holes for zip ties) Then the two parts nuts (linked with M4 nuts and screws) are used with cheap Amazon "Neewer CN-126 "Led panels and Manfrotto ball-head and smartphone clamp, using their T-shaped port. Not the most rigid stand you can get, but it works for cheap.
