This is a caddy that will hold a Philmore 30-2400 Micro snap action switch. (available at Fry's in the US) Switch should press into a cutout on the bottom of the part. It also has a groove for the wires to exit.

Caddy will temporarily snap onto the delta Effector around the stock hotend nozzle without having to remove anything. When not in use it will clip around the heat shield above the fan.

Use the Normally Open & Common terminals on the switch and connect up to the SEN header on the top of the toolhead. use the center and the right pin on the SEN Connector. The connector you want to get is a Female JST PHR-3 connector. Don't forget to also buy the crimp pins if needed.

Right now only the following fork of Repetier firmware supports the Z-Probe on the OLP.

See this forum post http://www.dreammaker.cc/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=259

Accuracy +/- .01% Probe offset from nozzle X+24mm Y+12mm Z+2mm (See Revisions)

You will most likely have to tweek the Z offset for your setup.

Print Settings

Printer:

Overlord Pro

Rafts:

Doesn't Matter

Supports:

Doesn't Matter

Resolution:

0.2mm Layer

Infill:

20 %

How I Designed This

Built in OnShape.com. posted as a public model.

Revisions

Rev 1

Did not like the way the offset worked in practice on the first version. So I made this lower bracket to glue on to the bottom of the first bracket. The switch is now located directly below the nozzle. This should make firmware settings easier to work with and you only have to apply a Z offset now. I thought about redoing the whole bracket as a single part, but I think that it would require a bunch of support and would be too hard to print.
Z Probe Height offset is about 11.8mm, as usual you will have to tune this number to your own setup.
Rev 1.1

Made friction bumps on Upper bracket bigger. Decreased the amount of tollarance between brackets because it was pulling the arms in on upper bracket.

Category: 3D Printer Parts
