Ovosphere v1.0 - GrabCAD Egg Drop Challenge

The Ovosphere is an egg protection device submitted for the GrabCAD Egg Drop Challenge.I drew inspiration from Zack Monninger "Stax" design that can be found at StaX: A Machined Aluminum Modular Container.Although the egg is well protected by a vortex of springs, the design was still unsuccessful. It seems the rapid deceleration upon impact causes the egg to destroy itself from within. In other words, the egg stops so rapidly that the momentum of the yoke bursts the shell.I'm afraid some more design is still required.​..
