This is a stand for the [OXO 8 cup coffee maker)[https://www.oxo.com/8-cup-coffee-maker.html] that replaces the much smaller stand that comes with the unit. This moves the coffee cup up higher, which reduces the amount of splatter you get around the coffee maker. The stand is also hollow with a perforated lid so that if you forget to put a cup in there when you're making your coffee first thing in the morning, you don't end up with coffee all over your counter. I'd recommend printing this in ABS if possible. Since we're dealing with nearly boiling water here, if you do forget to put a coffee cup on the stand before brewing, the printed part will need to be able with withstand that. PLA or PETG will probably work just fine for that, but there is a good chance the hot coffee will make that a single use event. The insert part has a fillet on the bottom that matches the body. It will fit in either way, but it should be a bit more snug if you put it in the right direction. All parts should print fine in the default orientation and without supports.
