The easy clip belt buckle, is an unorthodox belt buckle that utilizes two buckles instead of the traditional one. The reason for the two buckle approach is to make an easier process for people with arthritis or even amputees to be able to use a belt with ease. In a normal belt the design requires the use of two hands to thread the belt through the buckle and hold the belt in place by putting the rod part of the buckle through the holes in the belt. With the easy clip belt buckle allows easier attachment by bringing the two buckles together and being held together with the hooks underneath the buckle. The hooks on the underneath of the buckle hold the buckle in place because the hooks are facing in opposite direction so that the buckle is secure from being free in both directions. The design allows for easy grip of the buckle and easy use because there is very little amounts of movements needed to secure the buckle. This easy use allows for people with arthritis to easily and quickly buckle by cutting out the rigamarole of the traditional method, also for amputees the belt can easily be put on with just using one arm. FDM 3D printing allows for this product to be easily mass produced, and because of the location of the securing hooks 3D printing is the most viable form of manufacturing. Opposed to other plastics such as ABS the easy clip belt buckle will be constructed of PLA filament, which is a environmentally friendly plant based plastic that is still strong enough to hold up the pants of people worldwide.
