This is two variants on http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:341091. One is simply the parallel mount with the opening enlarged to accommodate an E3Dv6 hotend. However, when I switched from a Bulldog to a Bulldog XL, I ran into quite a few clearance issues parallel mounting the extruder, so I tried to make the simplest most rigid perpendicular mount I could. Both variants require an X-carriage with the 4 4mm bolt pattern like http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:586636, which I use. As other designs point out, if your X-axis isn't really rigid, you may have sagging problems with a perpendicular mount. Hopefully, these can save you some time. The fan setup is http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:780379. It is a bit of a pain to get at the zip tie on this setup. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: P3Steel variant Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: .2mm Infill: 50% Notes: ColorFabb XT or Formfutura EasyFil PLA seem to work well. Low temp PLA's tend to warp on these parts. If your bridging is really good, you don't need supports.
