P8079hp night vision mount for Velbon CX 686 tripod

For years, my P8079hp night vision tube was held together with duct tape and zip ties. I decided to change that. First I modeled the plate section off the plate used on my Velbon CX 686 tripod. I then measured the diameter of the tube and created a section for that (it should fit snugly, including wiring), then created a box for batteries, on/off switch and LED indicator. Currently printing on my Ender 3. Will let you know how it turns out. And no doubt there will be changes to come, such as adding a lens mount and eyepiece mount. 20190308 - Update: It turns out that the end of the nv tube is slightly larger in diameter than the central portion. After 19 hours of printing, the mount came out perfect. It slid very snugly over the end, but is a little loose in the middle. Gonna see what I can do to rectify this. It seats into the tripod like it was made for it. Will provide the lens mount and eyepiece mount in the coming weeks.
