Mod 1 Update: A handful of people said they had problems with it breaking where the handle joins, and I realized I had sharp corners there, a perfect point for stress. I filleted the joint that sticks out of the head to reduce the stress, and I increased the overall thickness of the paddle from .400" to .550". The hole in the handle was increased to .40" dia to accommodate either 3/8" or 10mm studs/hooks. For this version you will need to use four M4x10mm bolts. You could use a mod 0 handle with the mod 1 head or vice versa, since the holes align the same, but the M4x10mm screws will stick out of it then. Also added a blank head, for anyone who wanted to more easily customize their own, as well as a lower resolution (triangle size) head with holes (8mb instead of 87mb). I'll leave the old files in case anyone still needs them. Original Description: Here's a paddle I've designed that has two heads you can use, either a traditional one with holes, or one that has small spikes on one side. There is a 3/8" hole in the end of the handle so you can attach a strap and/or hang it. Each piece is 10.50" long so they can be printed on the standard Ender 3/5 bed (just rotate 45°). Assembled, the OAL is 18.50". The thickness of both parts is .40" (not including any spikes). They are joined using four M4x6mm bolts/nuts. The nuts are press fit in to the paddle's head tightly so the nut doesn't turn if you torque the bolts down. So make sure you have your esteps calibrated correctly. Depending on how much your sharp corners overextrude, you may need to lightly file them where the handle and head slide together. There is only 2.5 thou allowance on each side, and corners tend to overextrude up to 10-20 thou. Testing hasn't been quite as thorough as I'd like, but so far I haven't had anything break. Mine were printed in standard PLA with 1.2mm walls and 30% infill. I used supports only for the nut/bolt recesses.
