I changed some dimensions from @Jody_T 's design to get more stable mount for GoPro 8 for VForce Paintball goggles. Also included place for nut in order to secure camera to the mount. You need to put M5 nut in the hole, which is tight enough so you don't need glue in it. Use pliers to plop it all the way...nut should be about flush with the mount surface.

This is designed for GoPro 8, I don't have any other GoPro so you should measure distances before printing for other models. I think other models should also fit, as there is 5mm clearance between GoPro 8 and the goggles strap.

For some weird reason I couldn't get tree support come from build plate, on all earlier iterations that worked great, but for this final evolution 4 that just didn't happen. Not even if 'support placement' was set to 'touching buildplate'. But with support settings like shown in the picture, support is easy to remove! You should not need supports on screw holes (depends on your printer quality)!

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Creality

Printer:

Ender 3

Rafts:

No

Supports:

Yes

Resolution:

0.2

Infill:

10%

Filament:
Fillamentum PLA Ruby red

Notes:

Set 5 walls! Less than that your part will not last long in the paintball field.
You only need support on one spot, use support blockers to block other places as shown in the picture.

You can also try to print laying on the side, but then you need a lot more supports. I have tested the upright stance and it prints tough piece when using 5 walls.

10% infill is quite enough but I did set infill line multiplier to 2.

I printed with PLA, but maybe PETG would be better material for this usage.

With a speed of 60mm/s this takes little over 3 hours to print and uses 26 grams (8.7m) of filament.

Category: Camera
