Update (3/27/2020): My friend said that his washers were attaching to the magnet such that it was making the mini "off center." To resolve this, I made a new derivative design that is sized for 15mm ring magnets (specifically these 15mm OD x 3 mm x 5mm ID from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07C3NWSWP/ ) these seem to grab the washers better, by leaving the countersink "up" it reduces the rim area for the magnet which I think grabs the washer better. If you don't use washers, the other design is just fine and the disc magnets are a little more cost effective. Original description: I started trying to paint small parts and a friend uses some form of adhesive and pill bottles (cheap and available). I tried it, and it worked, but I felt that the large size of the bottle was unnecessary, so I designed this. The top is crosshatched to grab bluetack (or whatever poster putty you have) as well as a space for a 10mmx2mm disc magnet for use with magnetic or metalic base weights (washers, for instance). https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07VPCS78G As I'm new to this, (I haven't painted models for years and I was really bad at it), I have no real idea as to the utility, practicality, or need for such a thing given the commercial handles or pill bottles about... Anyway, it's sized for 25mm/28mm miniatures on bases or small instrument panels, wheels, etc. for aircraft models. The top narrows so it can be rotated easily, but then flares to fit the palm and form a more stable base. The bottom has an indentation for using a 1-1/4" fender washer to form the base and weight it, or you can add weights to the interior and seal it with a washer. I used Bondic-style UV cured "glue" to hold it in, but allow for breaking it free if I want access to the interior. I suppose I could have used bluetack...
