Palm tamper for Pavoni & other 48mm portafilters

A palm tamper for the La Pavoni manual piston espresso machine & other 48mm portafilter espresso machines. I like to use a very hard tamp when preparing my espressos such that I lean a good part of my body weight into the puck. This makes most espresso tampers ergonomically not suitable, not to mention the instability that's created with a tamper's upright handle. That is why I created this palm tamper, designed to be used with the open palm of the hand on the tamper with one's body weight passively leaning against it. Note that this varies somewhat from other palm tampers on the market in what it does not have - this does not have an adjustable depth as it is not meant to work with a fixed level of grounds in the portafilter. Rather the stepped design is there only to prevent any accidental instability, however rare that should be given its very low profile. (In normal use the recessed rim of this tamper should never actually make contact with the portafilter basket's rim.) For me its a game changer, as finally I have a tamper that reflects my tamping technique.
