Panasonic Lumix GH5 Mark II Windscreen Deadcat support for integrated mikes

thingiverse

This is an attempt to build a Panasonic Lumix GH5 camera support to hold a removable on-case deadcat windscreen, allowing to use camera integrated mikes in windy conditions when it is not possible to use an external microphone. The windscreen support is fitted into GH5 flash hot shoe. Il will keep the deadcat away from mikes surface to avoid scratch noise, and preserve the stereophonic sound field captation. Also the support allow eye contact to the viewfinder without interferring with user face. This support try to keep minimal space volumes and mass balancing, allowing the deadcat to be used or not with the GH5 mounted on my DJI's RS3 mini gimbal with maximum free axis rotations angles and untouched balancing. Designed for the Lumix GH5 mark II, will probably fit well on the others Lumix GH camera series (at least GH5, GH5s and GH6). On field wind noise removal tests are excellent. Use a small and cheap dead cat windshield for portable sound recorder with this support, like this one : https://aliexpress.com/item/1005001633299492.html Youtube presentation : https://youtu.be/KOSB1enTerk
