A bracket to fix a Panasonic microwave door that won't stay shut. The part is very simple, but you have to know what to do with it. You will need a T20 security Torx bit to get at the insides, this bracket, and some adhesive of your choice. I tried double sided foam mounting tape, epoxy, and superglue. In the end, superglue is the only one that held up. First, watch this video to get a general idea of what's going wrong with your door: http://youtu.be/RWVbHDMbl7Q The interior bits of the door latch are mounted on a bent sheet metal panel that tends to get bent out over time. The quick fix in that video of bending it back the other way works for a while, but eventually fatigue sets in and the fix doesn't work as well any more. On the lower right of the door latch mechanism, there is an edge at a 45 degree angle. This bracket is intended to latch onto that spot and be attached to the wall behind it (the right wall of the food cavity). It provides some reinforcement against the bending action of opening and shutting the door. Do a test fit first without adhesive, holding it in place while opening and closing the door, and make sure that closing the door causes the little red button to be pressed in.
