If you are using the Basaraba direct drive conversion kit for your Ender 3 and want to swap in a lighter pancake motor, you'll discover that the holes are too shallow to work with your mounting screws as the spacer plate with the kit will be too thin. Just install this plate instead. Pancake Motor Notes ----------------------------- I am using a 0.7 amp pancake motor with a holding torque of 18Ncm without any issues pushing or retracting filament. I also have a heat sink with thermal paste installed and tuned my VREF to 75% of the RMS value so I have no issues with overheating either. You will need to disable linear advance if you have it enabled as a non-geared pancake motor will not have enough torque for this feature.
