Panelmax for Ultimaker

I wanted a control panel for my ultimaker but I didn't want to buy the horrendously overpriced official version, so I made this!

Instructions

I used this screen (20x4 lcd w/ backlight) ( http://tinyurl.com/arrztln )

and this encoder ( http://tinyurl.com/afekwq6 )

my SD card reader is this ( http://tinyurl.com/bz9mcro ) except instead of a soldered in SD card I soldered in an SD card port salvaged from an SD reader dongle.

I basically followed the instructions here http://tinyurl.com/b2nvso4

The ultimaker pin arrangement is different, here it is http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=6xuouf&s=6

You just match up the pins from the panelmax tutorial with the ones from the ultipanel picture, and you are basically good to go. The case screws together with M3 screws. Drill holes in your ultimaker and attach it using the little flanges.

EDIT Oops, looks like I had the wrong pin diagram. Fixed now. Sorry guys
Category: 3D Printer Accessories
