PanicBot
thingiverse
PanicBot is an innovative device designed for home and office use to save labor in situations that require urgent action. By simply turning a dial, users can avoid the hassle of frantically waving their arms around. This product was created as an entry for the Develop3D/MakerBot "Make a 'Bot" competition and is designed to be printed on MakerBot's Replicator 2 using STL files. The designer acknowledges that there may be some issues with wall thicknesses, fits, and orientation of the STL files, which might require additional glue for stability. They have arranged the robot parts on a single build platform, minimizing support needs, but are open to suggestions for better arrangements. An animation for the correct order of assembling the parts is planned to be attached, with hopes that it will be self-explanatory. The designer expresses interest in feedback from anyone who makes one of these and wishes participants good luck!
