I designed this to be used for an automated panaramic head controlled by an Arduino Uno R3 with the Arduino motor shield. It is done with one of those little cheapy kit motors that come in the Arduino kits you can buy​. Its designation is 28BYJ-48-5V. With 2 custom parts that can be machined from round barstock and some vendor supplied itemes this would be very eas to construct. I left the top with the 4 open threaded holes so that I would be able to create whatever type of adapter plate that I might need in the future. This will probably depend on the brand of camera mount system (e.g. Arca Swiss, Manfrotto, etc.) The bottom has a 3/8-16 threaded hole ty[ical of most tripods. If needed it could be adapted down to the 1/4-20 size.
