Paper Miniature Base

Paper Miniature Base

thingiverse

This is a miniature base for paper miniatures for tabletop RPGs such as D&D, etc. It is the common 25mm (1 inch) diameter. I've used the basic dimensions from tstine's "RPG Creature Base" but I've redrawn it with some changes: * Angled sides like most miniature bases, because I prefer the look * A narrower slot (0.6mm) - more suited to resin printer tolerances than FDM. This fits light card, paper, folded paper or laminated paper fine. * Curved edges to the slot. Again, I just prefer the look. * Magnet void in the bottom. Will accept a 6mm x 0.5mm magnet with a dot of glue. I find this very handy for storing and transporting miniatures. * Chamfer (only 0.5mm) on the bottom. This effectively eliminates elephant's foot when printing these flat on the plate, and eases release if you don't have a flexible build plate. If you are cutting miniatures out, the covered area of the slot is 18mm wide and 5mm deep. We're just starting a Starfinder campaign (having played D&D 5e for several years) and I don't have a collection of sci-fi miniatures yet, so these are going to tide us over until I do... Thanks to tstine for the original design and dimensions. I hope someone will find this evolution of that design helpful. If anyone wants to evolve this further, the CAD for this is public in Onshape as "25mm Paper Miniature Base with Void for Magnet 7.5x0.8mm"
